Can I modify the steering brace for a larger gearbox?Updated 12 days ago
Yes, you can modify your existing steering brace to fit a larger PSC steering gearbox. To accommodate the gearbox being closer to the center of the truck, you will need to drill new holes for the bearing bolts and enlarge the hole for the larger bearing. Shifting the holes by the specified amount will make it compatible with the new gearbox. However, there may be clearance issues between the gear box and the brace that will need to be dealt with, and the bearing will not be centered on the brace which makes it look pretty weird. But it can be done.
